Ottawa Tulip Festival 1-Day Tour( 4 Visits Included)

Bus tour package to Ottawa from Montreal: travel from Montreal - Ottawa day trip by bus.

Depart from Montreal at 7:00 am to the fourth-largest city in Canada: Ottawa. Ottawa is not just the capital of the Canadian government but it is also one of the most diverse cities in the world. This vibrant city offers everything from global sporting events and shopping adventures to museum and family activities. Ottawa has it all. The city is situated on the Ottawa River about 200 km (125 miles) west of Montreal.  No visit to Ottawa is complete without a visit to Parliament Hill, the seat of Canada's national government, and the setting for year-round celebrations and ceremonies. The Parliament Buildings sit at the top of the Hill, the gorgeous Gothic-style structures overlooking the Ottawa River. The buildings are home to, among other things, the House of Commons, the Library of Parliament, the Hall of Honor, the Senate, and the impressive Peace Tower. Then, spend a couple of hours exploring the Canadian Museum of History (formerly the Canadian Museum of Civilization) - gorgeous architecture and world-renowned exhibitions convene to create Canada’s most-visited museum. It provides detailed insight into 20,000 years of human history.   We also have a chance to visit the War Museum, Canada's national museum of military history. Canada's rich military history is showcased through personal stories, artwork, photographs, and interactive presentations that expand our knowledge of the conflicts that shaped Canada, Canadians, and the world, as well as the role Canadians, played in them. Last but not least, the Canadian Tulip Festival started in 1952, and it is continually held in Ottawa the capital of Canada. Thousands of Tulip flowers are spread everywhere over the city during the festival that holds various kinds of cultural events. The festival has a historic background: During WWII the royal Dutch family escaped from Holland and found a shelter in Ottawa. When the queen, Juliana, returned to Holland in 1945, she decided to thank the Canadian people for hosting the royal family and sent Ottawa 100,000 Tulip tubers. We will leave Ottawa around 5:30 PM and will arrive in Montreal around 8:00 pm.
