Day 1: Canada- Beijing   Fly to Beijing. Cross the Int'l Date Line.

Day 2: Beijing--Upon arrival in Beijing, the capital city of China, you will be warmly greeted at the airport by the tour guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3 - Beijing (AB, L)Beijing has served as the capital of five dynasties over a period of 800 years. Today, visit Tiananmen Square, the second largest public square in the world, and the Forbidden City, the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming to Qing dynasty. Tour the exquisite Summer Palace, the largest preserved ancient imperial garden in China, and a former summer resort for Emperors. Then, visit a Tong Ren Tang to learn about traditional Chinese medicine, which has existed for thousands of years. Tonight, you can choose to attend an optional tour with dinner, a large scale dramatic musical-"The Golden Mask Dynasty" ($65/RMB340 optional).

Day 4: Beijing (AB, L, SD)Today's highlight is an excursion to the majestic Great Wall, the most famous image of China, and a chance to climb a portion of this 3,700-mile marvel. Visit one of the largest Jade Exhibitions in Asia enroute. After lunch, see skilled artisans at work at a Cloisonné" Factory. Then we will pass by modern exteriors of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Your welcome banquet includes the local delicacy, Peking Roast Duck.

Day 5 - Beijing/Shanghai-Suzhou(B) Enjoy the day at leisure or join an optional Temple of Heaven & Hutong Life tour with lunch ($79/RMB420 optional ). Temple of heaven, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest. Then take a famous rickshaw Hutong Tour & Local Family Visit, this package also includes a traditional Beijing Zhajiangmian (“Fried Sauce noodles”) as lunch.  Hutongs  are  traditional  alley  ways  that  made  up  Beijing’s  old  city  planning,  take  a  special  rickshaw  ride  for  an  immersive  tour  to  get  a  wonderful glimpse into yesterday’s world, the old way of life and traditional Beijing culture, and see the  dramatic  changes  the  city  has  undergone,  continue  to  visit  a  local  family  and  local  market  afterwards. In the afternoon, depart for Shanghai, and be transferred to Suzhou upon arrival.

Day 6: Suzhou - Wuxi (B, L)This morning, visit the Lingering Garden, one of the classical garden masterpieces on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Suzhou is known as the “Venice of the East” as a large part of the city is covered in water. After lunch, you may take an optional cruise along the Grand Canal for a glimpse of the local life and China’s golden waterway in its heyday ($30/RMB160 optional). Then, visit a Silk Spinning Mill to learn how silk is created from mulberry-munching silkworms to produce the nest thread and cloth. You will be transferred to Wuxi hotel this afternoon. 

Day 7: Wuxi - Hangzhou (B, L)To start the day, visit a Fresh Water Pearl Farm. Then, head to admire the famous Lingshan Grand Buddha, with a thousand-year old Buddhism temple nearby. Later, you will be transferred to Hangzhou, described by Marco Polo as “the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world”. In the evening, you may enjoy an optional performance show “Impression West Lake”, and see the story of West Lake come alive before your eyes ($90/RMB450 optional).

Day 8: Hangzhou- Shanghai (B, L)In the morning, take a boat ride on the West Lake, known for its scenic beauty that blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sights. Then experience an oriental tea-tasting at the Dragon Well Tea Plantation. After lunch, travel to Shanghai, the vibrant metropolis and commercial center of China. Followed by a walk along the famous Bund, a mile-long stretch along the Huangpu River. It is the best place to capture the western influences of the old days. This evening, you may take the optional Huangpu River Night Cruise to get a glimpse of the dazzling and charming night view of Shanghai ($50/RMB250 optional).

Day 9: Shanghai (B, L)Today, visit the Shanghai Museum and indulge in ancient Chinese art, furniture, and jade. Visit Shanghai Old City God Temple area, a busy shopping centre where you may find souvenirs and delicious local food. Enjoy some free time in the afternoon. In the evening, attend a thrilling optional Chinese acrobatic show “ERA – The Intersection of Time” at your own expense ($65/RMB340 optional ).

Day 10 Arrive Hanoi

Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Check in and free at leisure or explore the local life in the old town.

Day 11 Hanoi (B,L,D)
Enjoy a city tour of Hanoi’s most famous sites including  Ho  Chi  Minh’s  Mausoleum  (outside  view),  the  Presidential  Palace  and Ho’s  still  house,  One  Pillar  Pagoda,  and  the  Temple  of  Literature,   Vietnam’s   rst   university.   This afternoon,  enjoy  a  cyclo  ride  around  the  Old  Quarter  to  discover  the  lifestyle  of  locals.  At  night, you may enjoy a optional Water Puppet Show($35),  a  traditional  form  of  Vietnamese  folk art, before tonight’s welcome dinner.

Day 12 Hanoi-Halong Bay (B,L,D)
Standard  package:Travel   to   Halong   Bay,   180km from Hanoi (ittakes approximately 3.5 hours). Stop enroute at the ceramic andhand embroidery   workshops   which   have   ready   to  wear  silk  clothes in  a  range  of  sizes  for  the  more traditionally built tourists.
Premium  package(Extra    $89pp    for    up-grade):  Travel  to  Halong  Bay  and  take  a  boat  trip to explore one of the world’s great natural wonders cruising the thousands of limestone islands lled with caves of all shapes and sizes. The  sails  of  junks  and  sampans  gliding  along  the clear and emerald waters of the bay form a  magnicent  picturesque  scene  that  blends  with  the  sky.  You  also  get  a  chance  to  visit  some  of  the  hidden  grottoes  beneath  the  towering clis. A seafood lunch and dinner will be  served  on  board  the  charming  junk.  Stay  overnight on board.

Day 13 Halong Bay-Hanoi (B)
Standard  package: This   morning   board   the   cruise  in  Halong  Bay  (4  hours),  a  world  heritage  site  recognized  by UNESCO  in  1994.  Visit  some  magical  grottoes  and  relax  in  the  best  scenic  beauty   of   Vietnam.   Seafood   Lunch   served   on   board.  Disembark  from  the  junk  at  noon  and  return to Hanoi.
Premium  package:  Enjoy  the  aquamarine  waters  of  the  bay  at  its  best  as  the  junk  continues  to  cruise  quietly  through spectacular  limestone  formations. Disembark from the junk at noon and return to Hanoi. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or join an optional “Food Tour” to sample tasty local delicacies ($65).

Day 14 Hanoi- Hoa Lu-Hanoi (B,L,D)
After breakfast, depart from your hotel to the site of  Vietnam’s  rst  capital,  Hoa  Lu.  Along  the  way,  you  can  take  photographs  of  local  villages  and  the   surrounding   landscape.   On   arrival   in   Hoa   Lu  –  the  ancient  capital  of  Vietnam  in  10th  and  11th century, visit two temples, one of them dedicated  to  Emperor  Dinh  (968-980)  and  the  other  in  memory  of  Emperor  Le  (980-1009).  Continue  to  Tam  Coc  Town  for  a  Vietnamese  lunch;  then  board  your  private  sampan  boat  on  Ngo  Dong  river  through  “the  Ha  Long  on  land”  the  quiet  and  peaceful  landscape  of  rice  elds  surrounded  by limestone formations to visit three grottoes of Tam Coc (Hang Ca, Hang Giua & Hang Cuoi). Then enjoy a short biking tour Bich Dong before returning to Hanoi.

Day 15  Hanoi-Fly to Saigon (B,L)
You  are  free  until  transfer  to  the  airport  to  catch  the  departure  ight  to  Ho  Chi  Minh  City  (Saigon).  Upon arrival, this afternoon is free at leisure.

Day 16  Saigon-Mekong Delta (B,L,D)
You  will  be  picked  up  from  hotel,  then  travel  by  road  from  Saigon  to  the  peaceful  countryside  in  Ben  Tre.  Embark  a  local  boat  and  take  a  boat  on  Ben  Tre  river  –  one  of  tributaries  of  Mekong  river. Stop at brickwork to see how to make brick by hand.  Visit  the  perfume  coconut  garden  and  coconut processing workshops located along canal and enjoy some fruits, coconut juice. Continue the trip by boat through criss-crossed with countless canals  where  they  look  more  narrow  to  countryside.  Walking  on  peaceful  paths  to  farmer  house  to  see  people  weave  mats.  Take  a  motor  cart  (xe  loi) or bicycle on shady road, pass by rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on really life and nd out about tropical culture. Enjoy lunch at farmer  house  on  the  riverside.  Afternoon,  take  rowing  boat  along  water  palm  canal  and  then  back  to  Ben  Tre  before  return  to  Saigon  for  your  farewell dinner on Indochina Junk on Saigon river.

Day 17  Saigon (B)
This  morning  enjoy  a  city  tour  including  Notre  Dame  Cathedral,  City  Hall,  Central  Post  Oce,  and  Ben Thanh Market.This afternoon is free at leisure or  you  can  take  an  optional  tour  to  Travel  30km  northwest  of  Saigon  to  the  town  of  Cu  Chi  and  explore the Cu Chi Tunnels($79), one of the most famous battlegrounds of the Vietnam War. The se-cret tunnel system is 200 km long deep inside the earth, and was used for hiding in during combat, also serving as communication and supply routes during the Vietnam War.

Day 18 Saigon- to Canada (B)
After  breakfast,  transfer  to  airport  for  departure flight back home.
